Synopsis
Every morning, Miriam (age 97) opens the PhotoHouse – a photography studio in Tel Aviv that she has run for the last 70 years. The studio houses the collected photographs of Miriam’s late husband, Rudi Weissenstein, a well- known photographer who documented the history and personages of Tel Aviv and the State of Israel.
Ben (30), Miriam’s grandson, announced this year that he intends continue his grandparents’ work. The film follows Ben and his relationship with his grandmother as he enters the family business. The store functions as a melting pot of Israeli society and Miriam as the master of ceremonies. Miriam’s colorful reactions will show her charismatic character, her caprices and her need to control.
The relationship between the two offers funny and unique moments, but also difficult and dramatic ones, which symbolize the generation gap.
